Coats for
greyhounds
Think of the scenario. Its late, there
is a cold wind blowing outside and the rain
has just started. You realise that it is
time for Zoom's late night walkies just
before bedtime. You put on your waterproof,
warm winter coat and set out. By the time
you get home, poor Zoom is drenched and
shivering and will be uncomfortable for
most of the night. With his short fur body
heat is lost more quickly.

GT Breathable Navy (see below)
GT Breathable
option now available!
For the ultimate
protection we are now offering the option of a
100% waterproof, breathable outer shell fabric to our
coats in Navy. This is a high tech waterproof
and breathable fabric that is used on
many high-end garments. This quality fabric is created by laminating a high tech
membrane to high-performance textiles,
then sealing them with an innovative
solution for 100% waterproof protection.
This is available as the 'Breathable Navy' option in the colour
selection box below for an addition price.
Due to demand, we have
developed a greyhound dog coat. The coat has been made in two halves which allows
for a curve shape to the back of the coat.
This contours around the body of a greyhound/lurcher
and provides a much greater fit than our
standard Clip-Release coat.
This range of coats
come in sizes Small (26-28" apx), Medium
(28-30" aprox) and Large (30-32"
aprox). They are currently available in
7 colours. All coats are have a durable
4oz water-resistant fabric on the outsize
and are fleece-lined with an acrylic-fur
fabric to keep your dog not only dry, but
also warm on cold, wet winter night walks.
The superior breathable fabric is available
in navy blue only.
A polypropylene strap
is used to secure the dog coat round the
dogs waist and is fastened with a strong,
side-release plastic buckle. The strap is
adjustable (see table below) for a comfortable,
snug fit.
The front of this
greyhound dog
coat also has a side-release plastic buckle
unlike the standard winter dog coats. This provides much needed additional strength
and helps to keep the coat fastened even
should your greyhound decides to run. There
is a small amount of adjustment here also,
ensuring a perfect, comfortable fit (see
picture opposite).
On the dog, these coats
not only help keep your pet warm and dry
but also look attractive and stylish. This
is helped by the black edging, black back-stripe
and matching black strap. This coat features
a "hood" that can be pulled up
over the dogs neck during particularly bad
weather (see picture opposite).
This range of stylish
and practical dog coats are fully machine
washable (40deg C, no iron). They are designed
for quality, practicality, and durability.
All this combined with the price makes this
range one of the best value-for-money greyhound/lurcher
dog coats you can buy.
ADDITIONAL OPTIONS
1. REFLECTIVE GREYHOUND COAT

For a little extra
a reflective strip
(1") can be added to both sides of
the dog coat. In addition to this, the
polypropylene strap well have reflective
running through it on the side and front
fasterners. See the picture above. Simply
Select the option below next to the colour
selection.
2. Coloured FLEECE
For an additional £1.00
you have the option of choosing the colour
of fleece used to line the coat. This fleece
is available in 3 colours:
3. Thin lightweight Mesh Lining
For the same price as a standard lining there is the option of a ultra lightweight mesh lining. Ideal for those requiring a summer coat. This lining is a lot thinner than the standard fleece option and is perfect for those requiring the water resistant properties of the coat without the additional warmth.

When
measuring your dog be sure he/she is standing
squarely in a natural position with the
head up. Take a tape-measure and measure
from the base of the neck to the base of
the tail (as depicted above). This value
(in inches) is the size of dog coat you
want. If you dog measures 28" it is
probably best to go for Medium and likewise,
30" go for Large. Don't forget that the base of the
tail should preferably be covered to stop
rain dripping down the back of the dog's
legs.
The
dogs waist measurement should be taken just
further back then the centre of his/her
back. Measure the actual circumference and
we will allow the overlap for the strap
to fasten. Compare with the sizes below.
If your measurement is out of range then
we can re-size for you.
